Summer enemy

Okay, so it might not be officially summer quite yet, but the enemy is already starting to appear. Spiders.

I was on full alert today as an enemy wave entered through an unsecured window, into my bedroom. Their first wave of soldiers were young, small, and quite easy to destroy.  But the Big Boss went into hiding.  I tried calling for backup, but I was alone.  I, then, went into hiding too, waiting for him to emerge.  He eventually came out into reach and I sprang into action.  As I zoned in for the kill, he made a swift dash across the window.  He was silent (I'd be more alarmed if spiders weren't), but I let out a little scream right before I let my hand charge at the window.  And so, the enemy was squished and conquered.

Gosh, I have way too much time on my hands...

  6. You have such cute outfits, I love your blog!

I have to say im not so worried about spiders during summer, more so the cockroaches. Those things give me the heebie-jeebies!!! I know that spiders like to eat and kill the roaches, so when I see a spider at my house, especially huntsmans, I leave them alone. I figure if anything wants to kill the roaches, and saved me from doing so, then i'm on their side and they're safe with me.

Thank you for the kind comment you left on my blog.

I am following you back on bloglovin' and on blogger/google.

I hope to see you on my blog again soon!

  16. Super cute skirt! Such a classic flattering shape. Your spider story made me laugh, i don't like to kill them, i just put them outside, but when i have no choice, i always let out a super loud "i'm sorry!" before i go in for the kill.

PS it's nice to see a blogger from ottawa, i actually grew up there before moving back to QC in my late teens, coincidentally!

  22. I usually see spiders in solitary or the most, in pairs. I've never ever witnessed an army of spiders before. Are you afraid of roaches? Coz I would certainly hate to see an army of roaches.

  24. Bugs are definitely the one big negative thing about the warmer months... but as long as they keep their distance and keep out of the kitchen I'm generally okay.

I love this citrus and navy combo - so cute!

  29. I always feel terrible about killing bugs. It stems from my childhood, I guess. I'm a softy. No matter how ugly they are, I try to spare them in some way. Hehe. <3

Love this look, by the way! Perfect for Spring! I adore that skirt!
