Trending for a while now has been backless clothes and tops with cutout backs. I do give them props for looking really great and edgy, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to buy into this trend. Because to me, this isn't a trend about being backless. It's about being braless. And I'm not quite sure if I'm ready for that. Since most of these things just wouldn't look the same with a bra line peeking out, are we just supposed to go about without wearing bras anymore? I guess I'm okay with that. No one actually likes bras anyway.

I love the look of backless garments but I just cannot bring myself to go braless. Perhaps one of those stick-on ones? Still I think I'd be uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I want to get a backless top or dress! Only thing is, I'm not brave enough to go braless...

I have not tried the backless trend yet and maybe not since I want the twins to be up and perky. I think that this is great for those that does not have much knockers. Thank you for visiting my blog and for the sweet thoughts.

I hear ya on this one. I think backless dresses are so gorgeous (especially if you have a particularly lovely back, which I'm not so sure I do!), but going braless is never really a good option for me, especially if the dress is flimsy or loose in front! Girls with smaller, well, girls might be able to pull it off better than I. And unfortunately, the adhesive bras are also pretty awful, and don't work if you're well-endowed either! Sigh. I will have to be content to admire from afar!

i totally dig the backless trend - hope that it never goes away :) and you can simply wear a backless bra or stick on bras - problem solved!

Haha, I love how you mentioned the braless issues. We've all thought it!! I also am so swooned by the backless dress trend, and I know going braless seems scary, but it's not all that bad. I've used those flower-shaped sticky things before, and I didn't even notice they were there, and they were not painful to take off. I guess the only issue would be how well endowed one is because if support is actually needed, then going braless would not be fun at all!
ReplyDeleteAnywhoots, love the dresses you chose to feature =).

I love the way this trend looks, but you're right, it's really not practical at all - which is why I haven't tried it myself. I think I'll leave it to the magazines :)

Beautiful! I think some designs look better when there's nothing underneath and those that don't - well, you can just wear a bra that doesn't have a back strap. :)
