After a week on the job, here's what I've learned: search engines take the titles of posts very literally. So with my choice of title today, I may be subjecting my blog to pop up on search results of curious workers looking for answers to whether it's okay to be smitten with co-workers or lovebirds looking for stories as a glimmer of hope (or justification).
Alas, you'll find nothing like that here. I'm talking romantic clothing for the office. Y'know, pale tones, lace stuff, pretty bows, vintage motifs...that kinda stuff. A little too bland for my taste actually. I prefer adding accents of black for a little bit of an edge. Speaking of edges...which leads to spikes...what do you think is the maximum acceptable height for a heel at work?
What I'm wearing:
-Lace top
-Black bag
-Blush skirt
-Black peeptoe heels
I love this look! For the heels, I think 3 inches is good, but that's just my opinion. :)
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is super pretty! Love the lace and bow details.

Beautiful details in your outfit. I wish I could wear heels like that to work, but I think my knees would hurt!

Hi Sabrina, I believe you have to compensate your job with something typically girly... I think that 8cm heels are acceptable. I don´t know hom much it is in inches. And I like this outfit very much. Especially the lace blouse ;)

this outfit is wonderful, so romantic!
ReplyDeleteand I think the heel depends on what you work for, as I'm quite new to your blog (I found it via your lovely comment on mine), I don't know in what you work. I wouldn't wear really high heels to work, because I'm not really small and I don't want to be bigger than everyone else.
And thanks so much for your comment that made me find your blog, I'm a new follower, I love your style!

That's how I got here via the search engine 'Office Romance!' ;D
ReplyDeleteSuper feminine and soft shades of castles in the air outfit ! I know when I'm in a happy disposition lace bows, high heels & femininity is practised, even though at times I prefer edge too.
Thanks for dropping by Sabrina

Hey there, doll! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit- I agree, black adds a nice edge. And I keep my heels high- and have been known to wear my 5-inchers at the office. :) When I stray from pumps and show up in flats, everyone I work with always comments, "I forget how short you actually are- you're always so tall in heels!"
Have a great weekend!

Your gams look great in those heels! So I'm for high heels, as long as you can do minimal walking at work, and the floor is carpeted. :)
ReplyDeletethat blouse is so cute - its extra sweet with the pastel pink!

I've noticed that about search engines too sometimes they miss the point of the title silly machines. I like the look but I agree black gives everything an edge. As for heels well I think it only matters what type of heel your comfortable enough walking in. When I was working retail I once had a regional manager who would wear nothing but 5 inch + heels no matter what the weather even in snow! They worked well for her because she could really pull them off but others who tried to imitate her didn't have such luck.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute look, love the B&W colors combined with pastel pink, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I'm glad you stoped by so got to know your blog! Following you now ;)

As long as you can walk properly in them, I don't think there's a maximum heel height for the office.
ReplyDeleteOh so nice photos. You look pretty, just so you know. :)
