Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I have multiple excuses that somehow get more and more valid. Firstly, I was lazy. Next, I had no one to take photos for me. And that brings us to today where I find myself with a little 24 hour bug.
While I don't have an outfit post for this week, I didn't want to leave the blog completely empty. All I want to do right now is curl up in a big comfy sweater over a bowl of chicken noodle soup- neither of which I have. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the oversized effortlessly chic trend. Don't get me wrong, it looks great. But I have all these fitted shirts from the last few seasons. I also find that fitted is more of a classic, versatile style, but there's only so much you can do with a baggy sweater. I know...ew, fitted- how dare I.
Chicken noodle soup though, now that's classic. Never goes out of style.
love a cozy oversized knit :)

I love the coziness of a large oversized sweater but I'm kinda torn on the trend too. Being a short but busty girl, I always feel heavy knits add more weight on me, giving the preggo effect. Not to say, I haven't tried this before, but just not sure it's that flattering me. That look above though is quite lovely:) Feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's worth taking a short break from blogging to recharge :) I agree, I'm loving chunky knits too! I love the colour and style of your pic above.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Marisa, I like those sweaters, but couldn't wear it myself, because I'm too short and have too much boobs for stuff like that, so I feel knit makes me even fatter.

Thanks for visiting flower! Ahh..take good care, I hope you feel better soon!! Rest is best...and I prefer fitted to baggy, although it depends on my mood..never a fashion follower me, I prefer personal style - that lasts longer! So wear as you feel and you'll do just fine..but if I didn't feel good, a baggy sweater is what I'd grab!! Wish you a lovely weekend!! xx

When I wear slouchy, I think, "I'm not really working very hard at this..." but in the end, it always looks so...easy chic. And who has a problem with that?
